TDK Corporations have introduced theInvenSense ICS-40638 MEMSanalog microphone suitable for wearable and IoT applications used in outdoor, industrial or harsh environments. The new MEMS Microphone can be operated at a high temperature of 105°C as they have a high dynamic range.

The ICS-40638 microphone offers anultra-high Acoustic Overload Point(AOP) of 138 dB Sound Pressure Level (SPL), exceptionally efficient 170 µAlow power operation and high Signal to Noise Ratio(信噪比)的63分贝在小3.5毫米x 2.65毫米x 0.98 mm bottom port surface‐mount package.

The ICS-40638 also includes a MEMS microphone element, an impedance converter, and a differential output amplifier along with a tight ±1 dB sensitivity tolerance and enhanced immunity to both radiated and conducted RF interference. The new device can be the best choice fornoise-canceling applicationsused in a challenging environment.
